Baitwell / Washdown shutdown issues

Baitwell / Washdown shutdown issues

Postby Gulfbum » Sun Nov 27, 2011 10:34 pm

I had a previous baitwell pump that quit working, I thought, and replaced it with a stonger and better one. It had shut down while I had changed the flow to the washdown mode, and it seemed to occer while not pumping out any water, i.e. not flowing. When I tested that unit after taking it out, it seemed to work okay when connected directly to the battery.

Anyway I replaced it with a new stronger one and it just quit working under the same condtions..I had switched to the washdown mode, sprayed a while then stopped spraying for a minute and it shut down again. It will not work in baitwell or washdown mode now, and I cant find a fuse to check...the Proline user manual sucks! I pressed the rubbery bulb fuse to try to reset above the instrument panel switch, it didnt appear to be popped. I dont know what else to check...its DEAD!

The washdown is the Jabsco Parmax 4 model.

Any help would be much appreciated.
