Where did your parts come from?

Where did your parts come from?

Postby Bob C » Wed Mar 10, 2010 5:35 pm

Hopefully with time we can get a database with links built up here that will "easily" allow you to search for a vendor, find either your P/N or a close approximation, then go out on your own and find the best price. Some are OEM suppliers, some are aftermarket, some are surplus outfits, and some are here just to give you an idea of what's out there. As you see one that I should add, just PM me and I'll tack it on. All vendors are links, just click on them...

I use them a lot. They have 2 stores , one in Ft. Lauderdale (near airport), and one in Pompano Beach. Most prices are better than WM. If you register an account you get a discount. Not sure if you need to be in the marine buisness. My buddy put me on his account and at check out a discount is applied...Nick

Looked at the site, clicked on the Jabsco Macerator pump, which I think is a good price at about a buck and a half...$129! On she goes.

Nick, good to see you here, as always, whatever questions you have, we'll do our best to deal with them/fix them/answer them/shrug our shoulders...but between the members of this community, we'll get them squared away!

Hi Bob, Would you add Defender marine Supply to the list of Vendors. Aftermarket biz with great lines and prices. One of the best for customer service in the industry. They put out one catalog per year, It's free and can be ordered from their web site.
Thanks,

Defender's Annual Warehouse Sale starts this Thursday and runs thru Sunday. They are giving an extra 10% off on almost everything they sell. These are usually the best prices of the year, so make a list.....
They have also made some special buys on Maxwell Windlasses for this sale. Maxwell RC500 for $480 and RC800 for $699.
Low prices and Rebates on Electronics, too. All major brands. http://www.defender.com/managerpicks.jsp

Same prices online as being there, but if you live in the CT area, there will be 100 manufacturer Reps attending the (4) day event, with information booths.

Brad,
You can always check out some sites like this one where I just googled "Outboard Engine Decals" (hey, you can pretend she's an Ocean Pro!)...http://www.outboarddecals.com/product_info.php?cPath=48&products_id=654

But I think a lot of the guys go on eBay... :504_shrugging:

I've gotten some quality marine pumps from Grainger before. They offer a nice variety of bilge pumps and RV pumps.
